The counted and chipped Russianness is a dead Russianness. The war in which we are all involved today is not medical, but absolute and paradigmatic, eschatological. If we do not mobilize today, the Russian world will no longer exist.

On June 22, the media spotlight was an article by Vladimir Putin “Being open despite the past”, published in the German newspaper  Die Zeit. In it, the President of Russia noted the courage and resilience of the Soviet people, who fulfilled the great mission of liberating the Motherland, Europe, and the whole world from enslavement.

The Russian leader said that after the end of the Cold War, Russia strove to develop its relations with the Europeans, guided by the logic of building a Greater Europe, but a different approach prevailed on the part of the West – NATO expansion to the East, which caused the growth of mutual mistrust.

” Many countries were faced with an artificial choice – either with the collective West or with Russia”, –  writes Mr. Putin .

The president called the coup d’etat in Ukraine in 2014 organized by the United States and supported by European countries as a consequence of such an aggressive policy. At the same time, Vladimir Putin said that Russia is one of the largest European states, feeling its inextricable cultural and historical connection with Europe.

“We are missing the huge opportunities that cooperation gives us, especially since it is so important now, when we are all faced with common challenges – a pandemic and its dire socio-economic consequences,” the  head of the Russian Federation said.

Concluding the article, as an alternative to the current critical state of affairs in relations between Russia and the EU, Putin proposed the restoration of a comprehensive partnership with Europe in the field of security and strategic stability, health and education, digitalization, energy, culture, science and technology, and solving climate and environmental problems.

Once again, Vladimir Putin mentioned the problem of “rewriting history”, which was widely praised by the president in the article “75 Years of the Great Victory: Shared Responsibility to History and the Future” published last summer. Another important emphasis in it was the preservation of the memory of the heroic struggle of our ancestors against Nazism and the iron fortitude, patriotism, and dedication on which the sovereignty of Russia rests.

As expected, many media outlets and media personalities raised the phrase from the president’s text about the pandemic on the shield, famously reducing it to uncomplicated rhetoric: the coronavirus is identical to Hitler’s attack, and our sacred duty now is to rebuff him with a vaccine. Accordingly, everyone who disagrees with this state of affairs is considered nothing more than “traitors to the Motherland” and “deserters” in this war of the 21st century.

Such, alas, are the techniques for stamping cut-off micro-meanings, which for the most part either do not have logical prerequisites at all (facts or moral principles that are “known to everyone” by default are introduced, which in reality is not carried by anyone, but everyone takes them for “generally recognized”), or they are built on a liberal interpretation in which profitable trade, economic growth and access to entertainment are embedded in the assertion as an inherent ideological trend and the ultimate meaning of human existence.

To rise from the infernal floors of small narratives disseminated by the media, it is worth trying to understand more thoroughly the semantic structures of what is happening. Let’s start with the Great Patriotic War. Who was the instigator of its denouement and the beneficiary of its consequences? In his last year’s article on June 22, mournful for us, Vladimir Putin gives a clear picture based on historical documents:

“Let me remind you the obvious thing once again. The root causes of the Second World War largely stem from the decisions taken following the First World War. The Versailles Treaty became a symbol of deep injustice for Germany. In fact, it was about the robbery of the country, which was obliged to pay huge reparations to the Western allies, which depleted its economy. The commander-in-chief of the allied forces, French Marshal F. Foch, prophetically characterized Versailles: “This is not peace. This is a truce for twenty years,” the  president writes.

“It was the national humiliation that formed the breeding ground for radical and revanchist sentiments in Germany. The Nazis skillfully played on these feelings, built their propaganda, promising to rid Germany of the legacy of Versailles, to restore its former power, and in fact, pushed the German people to a new war. Paradoxically, this was directly or indirectly promoted by Western states, primarily Great Britain and the United States. Their financial and industrial circles very actively invested in German factories and plants that produced military products. And among the aristocracy and the political establishment there were many supporters of radical, far-right, nationalist movements that were gaining strength both in Germany and in Europe, ”  Putin notes in the development of his thought .

Describing the cruel and cynical division of Czechoslovakia by the decision of the Munich conference in 1938, the president emphasizes:

“Britain, as well as France, which was then the main ally of the Czechs and Slovaks, chose to abandon their guarantees and throw this Eastern European country to the tomb. Not just to abandon, but to direct the aspirations of the Nazis to the East, with an eye to the fact that Germany and the Soviet Union would inevitably collide and bleed each other.

This is precisely what the Western policy of “appeasement” consisted of. And not only in relation to the Third Reich, but also to other participants in the so-called Anti-Comintern Pact – fascist Italy and militaristic Japan. Its culmination in the Far East was the Anglo-Japanese agreement in the summer of 1939, which gave Tokyo a free hand in China. ”

Is it worth clarifying who, as a result, received political gain and world hegemony after millions of Soviet people laid down their heads on the fields of World War II, and subsequently the entire Soviet state collapsed and came under the control of liberal administrations in parts? The heroic spirit and the innumerable sacrifice of the peoples of Russia were simply turned into consumables in the selfish geopolitical game of the Atlantists, moving pieces on either side of the board.

Now Russia is once again being dragged into the scenario vicissitudes of the “holy war”, for which not only real danger posed from the outside, emanating from a polemically constructed enemy (this time – an extremely depersonalized entity – a virus, whose behavior can no longer be explained by human subjective voluntarism, as in the case of Hitler), but also prescribed by WHO, Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab and Prince Charles, a recipe for dealing with it, built on the supposedly “self-evident” imperative of the survival of the global atomic society as the only possible form of human existence, for the preservation of which the whole world undertakes to fight at any cost, throwing off in the heat of this “battle” the remains of their civilizational, cultural and human identity.

We are once again placed in the structures of reality, where, behind the facade of a new threat, whose appearance is conceived as a fatal given, the very paradigm of its emergence is taken out of the brackets. At the same time, in the space of information war, filled with media discourse of all spectra – from absolute loyalty to the “truths” of global trends to the most sophisticated conspiracy theories, the main thing is successfully masked behind the screen of polemical throwing of facts. For a subject who has the opportunity to use any crisis in his own interests: both realities, both pre-and post-pandemic, are only consequences generated by his (the subject’s) will to power, the structure of which does not change.

Just like Hitler’s attack on the USSR, stimulated and skillfully used to establish liberal hegemony over the world, so the current pandemic, regardless of whether its occurrence was accidental or not, is used and directed in such a way that, biting the bit, as he always knew how to do Russian people in a critical situation in an imminent war, but ignoring a paradigmatic war, we risk again and, it seems, finally, to be sacrificed on the field of someone else’s ingenious game. With childish naivety, again and again, declaring his readiness to lend a hand of friendship and cooperation to those who implicitly use this vilest and cynical way.

The time has come for Russia to think not only about preserving the tradition of the selfless, heroic overcoming of existential challenges posed by historical fate, but also about the source of the people’s fortitude itself, which makes it possible to defend sovereignty from time to time, but not as an axiomatic value, but as a necessary condition for that. so that it would finally become possible for the Russian people to break through under the banner of the Russian paradigm through the endless swamps of the Western-centric rational lie about existence, devoid of being. And the fulfillment of the Russian eschatological meaning. The transcendental character of the Russian mission was testified not only by the holy fathers-the visionaries of the Orthodox Church but also, surprisingly, by the great German minds who made a leap to the top of philosophy on the verge of overcoming their Western identity.

“For the emergence of any kind of institution, there must be a will that impels an instinct, anti-liberal to the point of brilliance – the will to tradition, to authority, to responsibility for whole centuries, to solidarity of past and future generations … – something like the Roman Empire, or like Russia – the only country that currently has a future … Russia is the opposite of the pitiful nervousness of small European states, for which, with the founding of the “German Empire”, a critical time has come, ”  wrote Friedrich Nietzsche in The Twilight of Idols, or How They Philosophize with a Hammer.

“In the essence of the Russian beginning, there are treasures of the expectation of the hidden God, which exceed [the value] of all raw materials. But who will bring them to the surface? that is, will release (so) that their essence is highlighted …? What must happen for this to be a historic opportunity? (…) Being itself (Seyn) must for the first time endow itself (sich verschenken) in its essence, and besides, it must historically overcome the supremacy of being (Seienden) over being, overcome metaphysics in its essence “, –  thinks about Russianness the prince of philosophers Martin Heidegger in his Black Notebooks.

In one of the fragments of “Geschichte des Seyns” Heidegger makes, in our opinion, the main, amazing prophetic statement:

“Die Geschichte der Erde der Zukunft ist aufbehalten im noch nicht zu sich befreiten Wesen des Russentums.” – “The history / fate of the future land is contained in the very essence of Russianness, which has not yet been liberated for itself” (68).

We have come to the moment when the Katechonic role of Russia, highlighted at the crosshairs of the lines of force of metaphysical insights of geniuses who finalized the path of Western philosophy and the eschatological revelations of Russian seers and intellectuals, has a chance to reveal itself as the Russian empire of the end – despite the insignificant destiny prepared for the world by global architects.

The counted and chipped Russianness is a dead Russianness. The war in which we are all involved today is not a medical one, but an absolute and paradigmatic, eschatological one. If we do not mobilize today, the Russian world will no longer exist.
